Paul Hampton Paul spent over a decade working in the banking industry launching and securing online banking and early fintech initiatives. He joined SafeNet in 2011 (later acquired by Gemalto) and led the fast growing payment cryptography product business for eight years. Following the acquisition of Gemalto by Thales, Paul has taken on the management of Thales’ cloud cryptography services platform. Businesses are increasingly confronted by the cost and complexity of protecting data across disparate IT infrastructure and hybrid cloud environments, a scenario made worse by a growing shortage of skilled security personnel. Paul can speak directly to these challenges, bringing broad cloud-related domain knowledge on topics such as cloud security and specific cloud service provider issues.
